A music grant is an amount of money given to an individual or organization for the specific purpose of creating, writing, producing, recording, editing, mixing and mastering music. Grants are awarded based on specific criteria outlined by the grant provider. This money does not need to be paid back. In our particular case, we are awarding one single independant artist $5,000 worth of "studio dollars" (only redemable at 4Sound Studios and 4Sound Studios staff) to put towards your music. With the help of our partners, we do this in hopes of strengthening the community of TRULY independent artists, who can't seem to reach other existing programs like this.
Open to artists ages 16 and up, the recipient of this grant will gain access to all of 4Sound Media's recording studio, staff, music production services, and consulting services to fuel their next music project with hours and hours of studio time.
You can only apply once per round. This is not a lottery. The grant recipient will be chosen based on the quality of their music as judged by music industry veterans and professionals according to their expressed overall artistic vision and quality of musical talent.
There is a $25 processing fee required to have your submission reviewed by an expert panel to ensure the final recipient meets the creative and professional standard requirements to receive this grant. Our expert panels will consist of our ADEP guest speakers as well as other industry professionals such as local radio hosts, DJ's, and youth program directors.
*This $25 fee also doubles as a studio credit towards your next booking at 4Sound Media Studios. So even if you are not awarded, you get $25 worth of studio credit for applying!
The 4SoundMedia ADEP Grant offers Canadian song-writers, music producers, and creatives, $5,000 worth of services and studio time to support the production of new or existing projects.
